Pitti Immagine together with More Dash Agency and Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Day starts new joint season in February 2017. After the success of a unique debut project MORE DASH: EYE ON THE EAST, where the best new Eastern European designers represented their Spring-Summer 17 collections, it was decided to showcase the young talents for Fall-Winter 17 season as well. New collections are going to be exhibited by 10 brands:
Agne Kuzmickaite is a Lithuanian fashion brand exceptional for its functional conceptuality. The brand’s designer, Agne Kuzmickaite, earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree at Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts and is doing PhD in Fashion design/Art Research now. The designer’s inspiration comes from various themes of everyday life – different common objects and popular cultural signs are artistically integrated into the garment design. Each season the designer presents a new collection for “daily life princess” – woman, who plays a lot of different roles in the society, makes personal fashion shows in Lithuania, and takes part at international fashion events during the Paris, Berlin, Kiev, Riga Fashion Weeks. Agnė Kuzmickaitė was noticed by several international media: VOGUE, Marie Claire, ELLE and L’Officiel.
Anouki is Georgian, Tbilisi-based brand, established in July 2013, with head designer and founder of the brand Anouki Areshidze. Mix of Italian education in fashion, natural elegance and attention to the traditional Georgian technics makes Anouki unique and remarkable. Shoe line of the brand is featured by numerous publications and her FW1617 and SS17 shows at Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days is covered by Vogue Runway. Anouki is also a finalist of Vogue Talents x Yoox project in Palazzo Morando with her FW1617 collection. This season the brand will represent FW1718 collection within main program of Milan Fashion Week.
Elena Burba is a Ukrainian womenswear brand with a strong cultural identity and accessible style, founded in 2009 by a designer Elena Burba. Elena took the special fashion design courses at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in 2008 and Instituto Marangoni in 2009, in order to create professional and successful brand. And she did it — since 2011 the brand Elena Burba takes part at Ukrainian Fashion Week with seasonal ready-to-wear collections. Breathtaking, pure and dazzling is what she intends to create from collection to collection. Elena Burba is the brand of emotional values with the main idea of bringing a feel of happiness being loved, embodied in the garments.
FLOW the Label
FLOW the Label — Ukrainian-Belgian womenswear established in 2014. The brand is showing at Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days and was mentioned few times on Vogue.com, as well as other media: L’Officiel-online, Marie Claire. FLOW the Label is a wise mix of classic motives, often with a retro twist, and modern trends. Genteel, relaxed and very feminine simplicity of the brand’s refined style is enriched by the easy feel of signature designs, like garments with bright and ironic prints. FLOW The Label producing 4 collections per year and appreciated in Japan for the great quality and design.
GIBSH is an emerging Ukrainian brand started in winter 2017 by the designer Dmitry Gibshman. Being a stylist of video sets, TV commercials and music clips, Dmitry transmitted this mood to his debut FW 17-18 collection. The main idea of pieces is in transforming a basic wardrobe of a young girl, which is annoyed by her clothes, into daring outfits for clubbing. The collection was presented at Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days FW 17-18.
Jiri Kalfar is Czech based designer, who originally trained to be a ballet dancer. He infuses his innate sense of style into garments with folk-art inspired prints and innovative cuts. His menswear is boundary pushing in terms of its fluid approach to gender identity and his womenswear celebrates the freedom of the feminine soul with free flowing silhouettes and a vibrant palette. His collections collections were featured in such magazines as Sport’s Illustrated Swimsuit 2016, Vogue.it, Fucking Young!, SCHON, Tank, Blank, Harpers Bazaar and others. American magazine NYLON selected his as one of the eight emerging to watch in 2015 and French magazine L’Officiel selected him as one of-the-new-wave emerging designers and featured him in their June/July 16 issue.
Naya Rea was born and raised in Novosibirsk, Siberia in multinational family. She became an interior designer after studying in Academy of Architecture in Novosibirsk. Always having a passion for fashion Naya Rea took a part in major competition for young designers Ticket to Life run by MTV Russia and went into the final. That lead her to study fashion design and technology in London College of Fashion, University of The Arts. Since then Naya lives and works in London.
In September 2016 Naya Rea became a finalist of Future of Fashion Program with Not Just A Label which won her place to participate in biggest world trade show in Paris Who’s Next. Same year she became a short-listed finalist of Ones To Watch with Fashion Scout London and received an invitation to showcase her last collection with Fashion Scout Kiev during Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days and has been invited by More Dash showroom to Pitti Immagine exhibition.
Scenarium Outwear (Russia)
Russian SCENARIUM brand defines aesthetics and special attention to fabrics, details and quality of execution. SCENARIUM brand is elegant and avant-garde at the same time. SCENARIUM features are fit and cut. And this is not surprising — masters that work with SCENARIUM brand using the Russian traditions of art modeling clothes.
Collections consist of oversize coat, the coat of wool and mohair, parks, woolen cardigans, classic bilateral coat, double-breasted jackets with contrasting embroidery, applique prints, silk velvet dresses and blazers, tops and skirts.
A special feature of Scenarium coats is high quality of fabrics, specially selected in France, Italy and Japan.
Before coat production all the fabrics tested through heat treatment procedure for shrinkage.
And for lining Scenarium uses only natural fabric silk-stretch. Lightweight and thin Boucle fabric coats allow not to freeze until late autumn. Natural Mohair, the most thick and warm fabric of the collections for their hardiness can compare even with fur coats.
TAMAR is a womenswear label that turns femininity into a charm of the Queen of Metropolis. Named after Georgian medieval queen known for its power and cultural influence TAMAR aims at making a modern day woman feel and convey her sense of dignity, grace and appeal in urban world. TAMAR label was founded by designer Tamriko Keburia, Georgian by origin, nationality and soul, currently living and working in Ukraine. Tamriko debuted with her collection in February 2016 at Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days. TAMAR’s collections were featured in The Cut, MOD Magazine, Jute Magazine, SNC Kazakhstan, Syleinsider, Bestin.ua and The Cool Hour Journal. Today TAMAR has several Ukrainian stockists: TSUM UA, U Dress, Styleinsider Store and Kokon Space.
Tatman stands for sophisticated and girly high-end fashion for independent women who know what they want and are not afraid to experience. This drand is known for its handmade works. Tatman handmade was created by two sisters at the end of 2014. It was mainly specialising on embroidered and hand painted sweatshirts and t-shirts. Nowadays, the company produces coats, denim, shoes and two main collections per year. Designers also present two limited collections of a particular garment per year, one in autumn, one in spring. The label can be found in Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, France and United Kingdom.
The brand is aimed at young women who are smart, energetic, enthusiastic and different. She is not afraid to express herself, is passionate about the world and always looking for new opportunities.
